Miramar Rangers and Team Wellington are pleased to announce that Papa New Guinea International Defender Roland Bala has joined after spending time in the Gold Coast Premier League with Coomera Colts Soccer Club in Australia in 2016. Before that he played for Football Club Port Moresby in the National League in PNG.
Bala who is 26 is excited to be coming to Wellington, “I signed because I like the set up and the coaching and support staff and I know I will learn a lot and continue to improve and develop as a football player. It is a really a big blessing and honor to be part of this team. Both Miramar and Team Wellington have a professional set up and good technical and support staff so will be a good challenge for me to rise up to that level. I’m impressed by the style of play both teams have and what they are trying to achieve”
Miramar Rangers coach Wiremu Patrick was pleased to have Boland on board and said, “Roland is a great athlete and has good ability at his feet. He has a great pedigree and most importantly, is very excited about being here and playing for Miramar Rangers and then Team Wellington. Both Miramar and Team Wellington have had top players from the Islands come through previously with the likes of Henry Fa’arodo and Michael Fifii so hopefully Roland can do the same.”
