TDP Skills is designed to create technically proficient and intelligent young players who can meet the demands of representative football. TDP Skills focuses on establishing and developing key football habits with sessions specifically designed to affect all areas of the player’s development in a positive way.

WHAT IS TDP SKILLS?

TDP Skills is available for players that are playing 9th Grade to 12th Grade this season. You don’t need to be a member of Miramar Rangers to attend TDP Skills, but is expected that all Miramar Rangers’ A-team players attend TDP Skills.

WHAT IS TDP SKILLS?

  • An individualised development programme for 9 to 12 year old boys and girls to accelerate the skills of the ‘serious’ Kiwi footballer.

  • Matching motivated, committed and skilled players together with high-quality coaching.

WHO ARE THEY FOR?

  • Players that are serious about the game, who can commit to extra trainings each week, and are technically proficient and want to play at the highest levels.

  • Players with commitment and potential to enter Talent Development Programme at 13th Grade.

  • All Players who make their respective ‘A’ teams for their grades are expected to attend TDP Skills for ‘A’ Squads.

COMMITMENT

TDP SKILLS ‘A’ SQUADS: 2 x trainings per week year-round during school term time.

TDP SKILLS BLACK: 1 x training per week.

FEES

TDP SKILLS FOR ‘A’ SQUADS: $150.00 per term
TDP SKILLS BLACK: $100.00 per term

Via MyComet. Select the Event TDP Skills – 9th-12th Grade – Mixed and Girls Only.

COACHES

All coaches are NZ Football qualified. The programme is overseen by Miramar Rangers Junior Development Manager & TDP Technical Director Jamie Dunning and will be delivered by Jamie and Miramar Rangers Junior Development Officer Stuart Widdowson, together with senior players and guest coaches.

UNIFORM

The correct Miramar Rangers TDP uniform must be worn for all training sessions, this includes:

TDP Training Top - $50
Black FC Football Shorts - $29.90
Black & Blue Football Socks - $19.90

The uniform can only be purchased directly from the club via MyComet. Contact Rosie at miramarrangersafc@gmail.com with any questions.

Receive a 15% discount in MyComet if you order before the end of March.

Sporting the full and correct uniform is a non-negotiable requirement. Players who regularly come to training without the uniform will be stood down from training.

GRADES 9 - 12 Mondays:

Grades 9 and 10 - 6-7pm at the Indian Sports Centre

Grade 11 - 7-8pm at the Indian Sports Centre

Grade 12 - 6-7.30pm at Wellington College Turf

TDP SKILLS BLACK SESSION TIME

ALL GRADES: Tuesdays 4.00-5.00pm, Crawford Green, Strathmore

JAMIE DUNNING

English-born Jamie Dunning, commenced his coaching career in England before moving to the US where he coached in the United Soccer League (ULS) for a year.

In New Zealand Jamie has made his mark as Head Coach for Napier Marist, Assistant Coach and Youth Team Head Coach for Hawkes Bay United.

Jamie holds an NZ Football/Oceania A License and brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role at Miramar Rangers.

Jamie joined Miramar Rangers as Junior Development Manager and TDP Technical Director in late 2019.

STUART WIDDOWSON

Stuart Widdowson is a TDP coach and coach of Miramar Rangers’ Capital 1 senior side and the Wellington College First XI.

Hailing from Harpole Football Club in Northampton and Reading University in Berkshire, Stuart holds a NZ Football/Oceania C License and is working towards his NZ Football/Oceania B License.

Stuart has coached both in England and China during his career and has a particular interest in tactics, current tactical trends worldwide and set-piece workings within the game.

KEEGAN SMITH

Keegan is the Miramar Rangers TDP Goalkeeping Coach.

As well as being a great shot-stopper, Keegan has a bunch of experience playing at the highest level, including 6 games in the A-League for the Wellington Phoenix.

Keegan is currently a Team Wellington goalkeeper and provides Miramar Rangers with goalkeeper coaching.
